Friends and God at Work

Agustina and her children

Parque Boliviar and it is a park is close to my house. I pass by this park almost every day. I always see Agustina and her children selling candy. She has three children. This month I left her some food from the Church of Christ in Tarija, which the church members donate and if anything is missing I buy from church offerings. For me it is a great blessing to meet her and encourage her to come to church and talk about all the good things that God does. Pray for her so that she seeks God. It fills me with joy and happiness that God allowed me to meet her. Her life caught my attention a lot. She puts her candy and cookies on a cardboard box and sits on the edge of the sidewalk for hours and her children walk around the park with the rest of the candy and she stays with her last baby in her arms in an aguayo.

Chocolate Chip Mint Cookies!

This month I have been excited, worried, and thankful because we are traveling to Ecuador to visit our son Doddy and my entire family. I have been preparing cookies, cakes, and cornbread that I learned to make as a good-bye for the people that God has put in my life in these years in Tarija- some neighbors, mothers from school, and with the people I have met at El Camino and the church! God is good and faithful with the people we are meeting and taking advantage of the time to share the good news and the work of the work in Tarija. I look forward to reconnecting with them when we return from Ecuador.

Happy and grateful to God for Maria's life. She came to church for the first time, and told me that she liked it a lot, I have always invited her to come and finally she did!! God surprises me with how He works and who is going to come to hear about Him, I am grateful for everything that God does in His work, we just have to continue trusting that He is in control of everything.
